Avalon Restaurant & Bar is centrally located in the historic Fan District of the capital city of Richmond, Virginia near the popular shopping area of Carytown. 

Now in our 14th year, we offer a casual fine dining experience featuring tappas trial size portions which are a fun way to try new dishes and to share with others at your table and full size dinner entrée versions of dishes from sashimi tuna to filet mignon. Check out Avalon Diner's Menu.

Our vegetables are anything but ordinary with grilled Brussels sprouts, fried green tomatoes, Cuban style roasted corn on the cob, and grilled asparagus with capers. 

Chilled watermelon & tequila soup, Caesar salad and yummy house made desserts complete the picture.  After dinner there is a lively bar scene at the full service bar offering 50 kinds of imported and domestic craft brewed bottle beers.

Hours:  5pm to 2am Every Day   Happy Hour 5pm to 7pm.
